Drill for Eggs Animal Tier List
The method first, then the verdict. You can rank your own animals with the table below even though we do not publish a fixed animal list.

Why there is no S-tier animal listed here
A tier list implies we know each animal's exact Cash output. We do not. The game has been live since 16 September 2026, the developer updates it frequently, and no official source publishes per-animal income figures. Any table ranking all animals would be a guess presented as data, and you would make a real farming decision on it.
What is verifiable is the structure: animals produce Cash, they produce it offline, and reaching one costs time. So this page ranks animals by the factors you can check yourself in game. Apply it, and it stays correct when the numbers move.
What actually changes a tier
Read these values off your own animals, in this order of weight.
Cash per second
The raw output of the animal. This is the biggest single factor, and it is the one the game changes most often during balance passes.
Time to deliver it
An animal is only worth what you can hatch in a session. A far-zone animal that eats your whole afternoon pays off slowly.
Offline contribution
Animals produce Cash while you are away. That makes a steady earner more valuable than a spike earner you have to actively collect from.
Hatch time
A long gestation blocks your enclosure slot. If you can only keep a few animals active, slow hatches reduce how often you can replace losses.
Index reward
New animals unlock a one-time Index reward. For a first run through a zone, that reward can outweigh the steady income difference.
Useful tiers by situation
This is the part that transfers. Match the band to where you are, not to a rarity chart.
Farm tier
Your first hours, or Power below the nearest unlock
- Take:
- Animals from the closest zones you can clear reliably.
- Why:
- The point of an early animal is not income. It is having something paying while you train, and unlocking the Index on the way.
- Avoid:
- Do not chase a far-zone animal yet. Losing it on the return trip wastes more than it earns.
Mid tier
Once you can clear two or three zones and return most of the time
- Take:
- The highest earner in the zone you can already reach reliably.
- Why:
- This is where income and effort are actually balanced. You are not gambling on the trip.
- Avoid:
- Avoid animals whose hatch time is longer than your play session.
Push tier
When a rare zone is reachable and your Speed can protect the trip
- Take:
- Rare animals from distant zones, kept rather than sold.
- Why:
- Only worth it once the return trip is safe. Offline income turns these into a permanent payout.
- Avoid:
- Avoid taking a push-tier animal out when you cannot outrun its guardian. That is how a win becomes a loss.
What would change this ranking
- A balance pass that changes animal income or hatch times.
- New zones opening, which changes which zone is "far".
- A Rebirth unlock adding Worlds with mutated animals that out-earn anything listed here.
- A Speed or Power upgrade that makes a distant zone safe, which promotes its whole band.
When any of these land, this page changes. The checked date at the bottom tells you how old the method is.
Tier list questions
What is the best animal in Drill for Eggs?
The highest-earning animal you can hatch without spending most of your session on the return trip. A slightly rarer animal from a zone twice as far away often earns less per minute of effort than a mid-tier one you can farm quickly.
Why is there no full tier table yet?
We could not verify per-animal Cash values from an official source as of 2026-10-03. Publishing a ranked table with invented numbers would look authoritative and be wrong, so we publish the ranking method instead.
Does rarity decide the tier?
Rarity is a reasonable first filter, since rarer animals generally earn more. It is not a verdict. Zone distance and hatch time change how much Cash an animal actually delivers per minute.
Should I sell my rare animals?
Rare animals keep earning Cash while you are offline, so the default answer is keep. Sell only when you are saving for a drill upgrade that raises your Power faster than the animal pays back.
